Cynthia Plant, B.I.D.
Cindi grew up in rural Saskatchewan, studied design in Winnipeg Manitoba, worked in the private design sector, and taught in design education as an interior design instructor at Lakeland College in Vermilion, Alberta. She is currently retired from teaching, and pursues textile art full time.
Cindi is inspired by the notion of bringing an idea into a physical, tangible reality by using a myriad of methods to create textile art. She is influenced by nature, colour, pattern and texture and is energized by the entire process. She especially enjoys how a work evolves to become itself.
